Event Set-up, Road Marshal, 5km Route Cheer Ambassadors

Event Volunteers Needed – Walk Run Pole 2025 - 5KM
Location: Charles W. Stockey Centre, Parry Sound
Date: Sunday, June 1, 2025
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM – approximately 2:00 PM

Join us for a fun, high-energy community event in support of surgical care upgrades at West Parry Sound Health Centre!

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make the 18th Annual Walk Run Pole a safe, welcoming, and memorable day for everyone involved.

Volunteer Duties Include:

• Helping set up light event décor and signage
• Assisting participants at designated crossing points along the 5KM route in town and on the Fitness Trail
• Cheering on walkers and runners at the finish line
• Helping with event tear-down and clean-up (no heavy lifting required)

What You Need to Know:

• Arrival time: 8:00 AM
• Event ends around: 2:00 PM
• The 5KM walk/fun run begins at 11:00 AM
• The event takes place rain or shine—dress for the weather and wear comfortable clothes
• Free parking is available at the Stockey Centre
• Volunteers will receive complimentary coffee, treats, and a branded headscarf as a thank-you!
